Never got that email !!!
And still waiting on my overnighted form from fed ex!!
So When are we suppose to file for unemployment ???
I seriously don’t want to screw up and end up having to pay back $$$ to unemployment .
This is for NYC.
Anyone have any advise???

You can collect severance and unemployment in tandem. When filling out your unemployment paperwork put settlement, not severance. (Its a settlement paid in payments). You Are entitled to both.
They picked up the packets today. I have fed ex notifications for my address.
In many states you can still collect with a severance package. If you have paid time off like holiday that can influence. No sure about personal days. You should be able to see your pay check on adp tomorrow I am waiting.
I didn’t get the email either. Still waiting on fedex but I was not told much when the let me go. After many years they gave me 5 minutes of their time and no answers.
Fed Ex is having severe delivery issues. Go ahead and file for unemployment now. UI will not begin paying UI until your severance has been exhausted.
Get yourself in the system immediately. It will ask you if you are getting paid time/severance/vacation. Once that ends you can begin collecting ASAP. You cannot collect both at the same time in NY. Not sure about anywhere else
