A couple weeks ago was my last day at Bed Bath, after 13 years. I was a non keyholder, full time associate. I was tired of coming back to twice as much BS for twice less than what I was making on furlough with a store manager who treated me like hot garbage, because he loves having favorites. Glad I got to leave on my own terms instead of being most likely walked out today. But too many people in the Chicago area stores and my old district in CT have lost their jobs today and last week, and I feel absolutely brutal and terrible for each one of them, as some of these people became family when mine were far away, spending holidays with them, etc. It truly is the people you meet and befriend that make the job. To those let go today: its a blessing in disguise. I promise. ❤️.

It IS a blessing in disguise. To those who were laid off today... you are the lucky ones! Especially if you got severance?? You scored, AND you get to leave an ancient, nepotistic, toxic, GARBAGE DUMPFIRE of a company.
Good luck and God speed.
