Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

Performance reviews??

My supervisor indicated today during a chat we might have performance reviews or equivalent coming our way soon.

“Well, I had SMART goals, until upper management decided to light them in fire and piss out the ashes”

Presume this is a CVX requirement.

Just look up "We Lead" behaviors on Chevron's website. It's the same b—s— you can find in a organizational behavior book, just more costly for Chevron.

That's what happens when your surround yourself with yes men and never hear a different view point. You believe you can do anything without consequence, just like 45.

"Due to inflation it’s a smidge better than cash (maybe)..."

NOT! I cranked the numbers. You'd have been better off burying the cash in your back yard.

DS and Noble Energy are destroyers of value.

A negative return on FIFTEEN years is laugh out loud funny. Due to inflation it’s a smidge better than cash (maybe), but a t-bill would have been a better place to park your money.

Lol ok. Incompetence and ignorance go hand in hand.

Noble performed poorly because DS did not understand investment risk. He was sold on the idea that unconventional resources were low risk resource plays that could not loose money. Noble's poor performance has nothing whatsoever to do with racism. You are the racist for making an unsubstantiated claim like that.

SawitBefore is spot on. Let’s not forget that DS started with NBL as VP of BD, brought in nothing but Arco BP cronies, who then ran BD for 15 years. While traditional successful profit centers (Expl, GOM) were shut down by those clowns, virtually every BD deal was a failure. And those that created all the value were run off because they weren’t in BD. Once CD left, DS and his BD cronies who could never understand organic value creation ran NBL into the ground.

IMO, it was BD that destroyed Noble. They faked vslue, invented reserves, told management what they wanted to hear. If BD had been honest, none of this would have happened. BD made crazy deals, they said it was required or others would have bought the assets. Management pushed so hard, BD caved in, failed to honor their supposed engineering excellence. Whole rows of wells were invented that never existed. To me BD stands for Business Dissolution. Saw it in another enterprise with same results. When a BD appears in the corporate structure, the end is near.

Like duhhh, CVX pulled NBL out of the toilet, so why wouldn’t they be pulling all the stings? Pucker up ....

Supervisor confirms part of transition plan.

Don’t kid yourself, Noble isn’t doing much that isn’t directed by CVX

not CVX requirement until deal approved and then after deal closed CVX will do its own evaluation.

So wait - the boss I’ve had for a month is going to be reviewing my performance at the role I’ve had for a month? Seems legit.

Noble is a clown shown.
