What is WARN?

Actually, the CA EDD WARN notice is dated the week following the actual layoff on 8/25.
103 Employees were affected at NetApp Sunnyvale site.

It's a California thing.

This layoff for Netapp is likely not going to be in there if Netapp provided 3 months of salary/notice. From memory, I believe you only have to do a WARN notice for the uncompensated / no-notice portion of time. So, if Netapp informed its employees today and said they can stay on the payroll for 2 months (garden leave) plus 1 month salary, then that would satisfy WARN and no notice will need to go on prior to telling employees. I imagine the notice will show up on 8/25 or 8/26 after that gets updated on their site. If someone else has contradicting info, please feel free to correct me
