I did, and DENIED, no phone call or interview, just an email after a week or 2 that I am not wanted (was qualified for the job, same pay band and everything) Anyone else?

Since I was given my notice about the workforce transition to Chandler, I've applied to about 10 internal positions and all were rejected. They already have preferred candidates and post as a courtesy.
India has only 22 positions open while the US has close to 200, any Allstate employee can look up this information.
Feel bad for not only the long time employee being laid off but the young new talent they’re being in too as they’ll be paid worse then before with worse benefits more work than ever and will probably be laid off within 3 years anyway if even.
Normally when there is a posting, Allstate already know who they giving the job to. I have not been laid off. I am in NC and applied for a claims position in TX. They haven't even looked at it, it has been weeks. I am a Inside Auto Adj, its for a Home Inside Adj. Yet, I am applying to other jobs and getting interviews left and right.
You were only denied because claims will be going to a vendor in India. It is starting Monday. They don't need American workers.
I applied for 2 (claims). Both within my band a skills areas. I was turned down for one, being told they already had enough qualified applicants. I have a pre-screening interview on Thu for the other.
Op, reach out to your recruiter. They can probably provide more insite. The fact that it is a different zone could be the reason why, especially if more qualified applicants in current zone
Whoever said if youre tenured and over 40, you are completely wrong and making that up to stir the pot
I applied for a position that I’m qualified for and have an interview coming up next week. You must have been flagged in the system and that’s the reason why your not getting any responses.
It was a job very similar to what I do now, no training required I could start immediately, I filled out my resume/application, I’m under 40 and have been with Allstate for several years, same pay band, only thing is that is was in a different zone, not sure if that’s why or just too many people going for it (or both), thanks for replies
I can safely say as someone who assists with hiring in some of these areas that if you were laid off, been with the company 7-10 years or more, and over 40 years old you will not be considered for openings unless you know someone with a lot of pull. Trust me on this.
Many of these internal postings ALREADY have someone slated to fill them. The posting is merely a legal formality to give the appearance it was “open”. Cheaper, malleable young and/new blood to the organization is the second direction for hires if there isn’t already someone chosen.
Are you sure you're qualified? A lot of internals apply for roles assuming they are when they are not. I also see internals who don't even bother to fill out their application or update their resume. If i have 40 internals and 1 opening, Im going to look at the MOST qualified
I don't think they want people who have already been cut who may bring negative morale and attitude with them (as if the surviving folks haven't already been jaded by this whole process).
Heck no!!!!!
I am sure they will try to avoid re-hiring laid off employees due to they will be bringing back folks that already have a bad taste in their mouths about being let go and they already know morale is terrible within the company.
It's probably because they are getting hundreds of applications. That's why they should say who's safe because then people apply and don't know if they should or not. I'm sorry you guys. I haven't applied yet because I'm just waiting.
I have applied. 2 weeks later, said they were not moving me forward. Tho I have the experience. Other jobs I applied for, they haven't even looked at the application. SMH
Meant to say is anyone else applying to different jobs at Allstate, sorry
