Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

EOI Question

My strategy is to EOI in round 4. If I wait until the last minute (October 11) to announce my intentions, will I be notified with the rest of round 4 participants that my EOI was accepted? It looks like the 60 day period to accept the severance begins when you are notified. If I am notified October 19, I should be able to delay signing the agreement after December 15 and the severance pay will be 2021 income.

If I am in round 3 is there any way to postpone payment to next year? I have several projects that would like to fund me to complete the work. Of course I have not informed them of my EOI plan.

Do you still get 6 weeks of redeployment if you EOI? I don't see that anywhere. Asking for a friend.

You and thousands of others will EOI. Take the money and run! In the next few brutal years in the business many will wonder why they didn’t grab this chance.

Oct is when you’ll be notified, not when you submit for EOI. Once you submit for EOI and get notification it’s accepted, which it will, then you’ll have six weeks of redeployment then after that you’ll have 60 days to submit your paperwork. As long as you are in round four you can strategically push it 2021. Read the website it’s all there to figure that out.
