Sales and traffic are down and Belk is desperate. Just look at some the things they have been doing: $100 gift cards for $80, 75% off fine jewelry, and cutting employee hours while extending store hours at the same time.
A few new things starting next week:
Unrealistic shortened BOPIS pickup window where orders placed by 4pm are guaranteed ready for pickup by 7pm,, and a shocking extra 40% off (including shoes, 20% off home and beauty) for anyone who opens a new Belk card.
This company is in deep trouble. Stay very aware of what is happening and be cautious.

According to Shilly there is no rumor of belk closing, and all retailers have the Moody’s credit rating belk has. I personally Believe everything Shilly says.
