As a white guy I think it's great Chevron seeks to increase their management diversity. Chevron, Noble, this industry in general have a real problem with uniformity of management and thought. The last few years should have taught us all that lesson ("shale, shale, shale..."). Following the herd hasn't worked out very well, has it? If we're going to survive and grow we'll need new people with broader perspectives than we have now. That'll only happen if deliberate steps are taken to become more inclusive.
Sorry, it's become a cliche, but the world really is changing. Some of those changes we may like or not like, it really doesn't matter. We either change with it or get run over. Their is no other choice.
