Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

T-Mobile Marketing layoffs

Last week of June 2020, T-Mobile Marketing org went through a re-org and a layoff ... based on what I've seen, at least 150-200 were let go in one week. From Directors, senior managers, to individual contributors. Most of there were highly tenured – too expensive than their newly hired Sprint counterparts maybe. Matt Staneff (the CMO) is a big tool – ever since John left, the culture has gone down and it's becoming more and more corporate – vs. taking care of their people.

Agreed. Matt Staneff is a huge tool. Really bad leadership, could care less, always about him.

Jon Freier should be in charge of Marketing too. Our marketing has s—ed for 3+ years now. Freier is beloved my many. Hated by a few because he made tough calls to grow this business and took out the trash a couple of times. He gutted dead weight Metro people who were doing NOTHING and pretty much leading like a small sh–ty regional company from the 1990’s.

Wow, really? The only word that comes to my mind is TREASON!
These were hard working people. They worked over-hours, even weekend, to keep the communication with our customers alive. Specially during time of crisis.
It is treason what happened, that's the truth.
Nothing against Sprint people, but what is happening to T-Mobile? Is it still T-Mobile?
