Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

This Re-Org Is a Joke

Hey execs,

Calling one silo a new silo name under a new silo'ed org is not breaking down silos.

Breaking down silos would be flattening the org and removing layers of VP/SVP and TEO that blocks devops culture progress.

Are you selling to new customers? Have you innovated and made some ground breaking product? Does the cloud grant magic fairy dust for making new sales?

Does silently replacing board members with buddies who failed at the airlines they left?

I daresay this company will be broke when the borrowed funds dry up.

Best thing I can say about you people. Everyone of you MF-ers deserve a seat in the soup kitchen.

I'm not surprised that so many midlevel managers were retained. They are a reflection of their ability to kiss up to their bosses, and the ineptitude of leadership to properly assess talent. The only leaders I've seen that try to grow employees were run off years ago. It's a look out for only yourself culture that only grows by bringing in fresh talent, IF they can survive in sharky waters.

I am actually dissapointed that so much of the mid level mediocre leadership survived. Funny to see them just bouncing around the org because they have 20+ years with Sabre, but dont know anything about the very products they roadmap or deliver. AirCentre and PSS is a huge example of this. Sabre is just going downhill from now on. It will br nothing in less than 10 years, and emerging technologies will k–l its cash cow.

Silos are Sabre's way of life! Always have been, always will be, nothing ever changes!

has there been anything in the last 10 years in the company that hasn't been a joke?

There aren't any good deals coming in any of the pipeline either. Revenue will continue to tank and Dave's team will still get bonuses.

I think its silly too.
The same leadership just passes different reporting lines to each other. Nothing has changed really, except for another excuse to lay off the worker bees at the bottom.
The people in leadership roles now, were in leadership roles before. If they werent up to par then. They wont be now. This is just more two-step from Sean /Dave because they still have not produced major wins. They simply s—.
and its the little guy that pays the price.

The new board was quite a trick to make when the old board was getting tired of the shell games
