Just putting out a warning to everyone who thinks it's ok to not answer the Sea World call....I wish I could tell you it was. Im sure you dont want to come back and I'm sure you probably also think you can just keep collecting unemployment. However, if Sea World does call you and you dont answer, you will be at risk of losing unemployment benefits. You cant deny a job offer if youre on unemployment.

It may not catch up with you right now, but the man always gets his money. Aka you dont want to end up owing the money that has been paid out when you shouldve come back.

In California you can also collect partial unemployment. If you make under a certain amount compared to your regular pay you get paid the difference. And in California there is no maximum amount, it's all based on your your hourly rate and loss of hours.

Yes, you can still collect unemployment up until the day you go back. That is my understanding.

Unemployment for Florida will pay you up to 275 a week.. so if you are making less than that you can get the difference if you had hours cut to be below that.

As far as federal goes... that I have no idea. That's such a cluster and I know people still waiting to get anything.

But can we still collect unemployment even if we agreed to go back? Until we actually go back?
