Sprint Headcount Annihilated

T-Mobile US Inc. reportedly is laying off large numbers of sales employees who came to the company in its merger with Sprint Corp.

T-Mobile told hundreds of affected employees on a Monday conference call that the company is doing away with Sprint’s Business Inside Sales Organization, TechCrunch reported. The report, based on leaked audio of a call by T-Mobile Vice President James Kirby, said that the call lasted less than six minutes and that officials did not take questions from employees.

All indirect managers were NOT eliminated. Many were kept on the Metro side. This I know for a fact. Goal is for each indirect Metro manager to have 20-25 doors to support. TMO cut the fat to get to that number. Period. No warning, but a straight to the point 10 min call from your local Director to learn your fate (sarcasm served here!) Those who were kept were selected based on likeability factors and possibly a few awards that made some stand out. Many "lucked" out if they lived on the outskirts and supported a territory no one typically wants to drive out to. Adults we are, but that does not negate the cliques and rat packs some of these "saved" managers run in. The strategy games that were played for the last year or more just to be "recognized" for the most minuscule of things were played by those that were "instructed" to do so. This way, when D Day arrived, there was a greater chance of being kept. You don't stand a chance on the Metro side unless you're constantly tooting your own horn saying "look at me! I ate my veggies!" Metro will be soon taken over and the indirect role will never be the same. Best of luck to those still holding onto hope. You're going to need it! This doesn't end here nor does it end come August as the powers that be, once AGAIN are promising. These same positions just cut, will more than likely resurface again to give the illusion of the "creation of new jobs" that was promised. Watch and see. It may be renamed or what have you, but this was The Master Plan all along... Shame on us all for believing ANY aspect of this hot a– mess!

What caused the mass outage? A bad routing through Sprint?
