No points in July but management went around letting associates know if you do not maintain your 34 hour average you will be bumped down to part time because of course people have been abusing the no point system. Can’t wait for Saturday, 4th of July, there will be a lot of call offs for that day I’m certain. And the rest of the people that do show up will be miserable because understaffing.

Your store does not decide when to start the point system. It is corporate. Rumor is, that they are not giving poi it's now until Aug. 1st. As long as there is a pandemic and you are required to wear a mask they can not give you points. If you end up with 5 points and they fire you, Walmart can be sued because they can not fire someone during a pandemic unless the charges are really severe. Stop letting Walmart fear monger you!

I have heard July 1st. It doesn't sound like it's set in stone, though.
