Has anyone else heard this rumor? I'm a neighborhood store (i know we are circling the drain) but how common it is to close a store in the 3rd quarter before Christmas.

With Covid-19, retail is in a tough spot. I could see stores closing beginning in July so Macy's can book the loss in 2nd quarter, along with severance for another restructuring. There are what, 96 Neighborhood stores remaining? I could see additional one's added to that list. Waiting 3 years to close all the locations isn't possible anymore.

Extremely uncommon to close a store any time besides Q1 (Feb, March, April, May). . . but we're in extremely uncommon times. Who knows.
