Unless you've heard it directly from somebody high up in the company - which I highly doubt - you can't know for sure that these layoffs will have no severance attached. Yes, you can speculate, but please stop stating it as fact. Nobody knows yet what's going to happen so stop scaring people in advance for what might turn out to be no reason.

What park was the manager position eliminated at?
That's terrible. Severances usually come with restructures. Not sure how they got around making directors again and not posting the jobs, but good luck everyone. I'd be looking.
Manager there 25 years told his "position no longer needed" by his VP. No severance.
Before you were furloughed, you were governed by the terms of your contract, in this case, you had a severance clause. You did not terminate the relationship, the company has or will.
Therefore, I would think you’re entitled to that portion of the contract. That’s what it was there for. But, the minute you tell them you quit, then, with you leaving on your own accord, they owe you nothing.
Agreed. The only reason anyone might get severance at this point is if they remained working in a needed position and then it was eliminated like say, a security manager.
Everyone whos been outright furloughed... we are not going to get a thing if we stay furloughed.
