Right as the pandemic started and DSG furloughed almost everyone, Lauren Hobart wrote an impassioned piece on LinkedIn about how sad she was and how DSG would come back stronger than ever, blah, blah, blah. There were 1600 reactions to her post, and numerous comments, all praising her and her sad lament. After these recent round of layoffs, a store manager replied to the post that it didn’t age well, that those who were laid off would find better elsewhere and was highly critical of her and the regime in Coroapolis. Same person also replied to a post espousing what a great place DSG is to work for and asked why they would be looking for help after letting go many highly thought of individuals. Both those posts have mysteriously disappeared from the site, but the happy, happy, fun, fun posts of giving out high five cards, great visits, etc. remain. Interesting and pathetic. Bottom line if you’re over 50, get your resume together. You’ll need it sooner than later. Peace!
