on line returns are absolutely ridiculous. And of course we are stuck with the stuff we don't sell in the store. Expensive stuff too.
Returns have not changed lol drapery panels covered in cat fur, coffee pots with hot water still in it, vacuum cleaners that have never been maintained.
And soda stream refills are the hot item. We are wiped out.

I try to respect others opinions But sometimes it is hard when people are constantly complaining bout their job and about customers and then.when people say something positive or constructive they are jumped on. And yes.if you are that unhappy then look for a new job.
Thanks for those who posted information on things are when your store reopened. I was the second reply to the initial post expressing concerns on how things will be when we return - thinking it would be like after Christmas. Glad to hear things are better than expected. Of course, we know it will vary from store to store but things look positive. For those who would like to stay out because you are making more on unemployment, I would suggest you keep checking into what Congress is considering. These are only proposals and have not yet been discussed or voted on. One proposal is to continue the $600 extra unemployment until January 2021 thinking it may be harder for workers to return to work, that the economy may not pick up as quickly as planned. This is not being looked on favorably. The second proposal is that the $600 would be reduced as your state returns to normal status and is no longer in an state of emergency. The $600 would be reduced on a sliding scale until the unemployed person is just receiving their state unemployment. Third proposal is actually an proposal to get people back to work by giving them $450 per week over their pay for a period of time to help them get back in to a work routine. It is felt the additional money would be spent on items or services you need helping to move the economy along. It has been an interesting few months and I guess it will be for a bit longer. Thanks again for the feedback on returning to work.

new Job!
Nice to see the ASMs have the time to post “Hooray for BBB” messages here. Don’t you have to PTers to force to clean the store while you stand outside smoking?
We’ve been open for 5 days and the customers have been amazing!! Yes we’re understaffed, long lines and it’s super hot! The managers and associates have been so positive even though they are wore out! I’m
Glad we’re back open and seeing our people and guest!!
I returned to work on Monday of last week and the store officially opened that Friday. I was anticipating the worst but it turns out that I was worried for nothing. Things weren't bad at all. I also worked the entire weekend and Monday and things were fine. Sure we had returns but we weren't overwhelmed and the customers were/are great. We haven't had any issues with customers abiding by mask rules either. So far so good and I work in a fairly busy store in MD. I can't imagine what the bullsh@t is all about. Lots of places are hiring right now if you don't like the situation you are in.
no its more like its the holidays , buy buy buy cart loads of sh– , listenting to them b–ch, "OMG we been locked in our houses for months i just had to get here i NEEDED stuff" first we werent LOCKED in the house stop your drama" "glad u finally opened dont know why u were closed anyway" over and over thats all i heard, i wanted to say we were closed cause there is NOTHING essential in here you needed thats why we werent open, full parking lot like its christmas , and sweating and you cant stop and the stinging under the mask cause your so sweaty, its unhealthy to be sweating like that with no way to breath air , not to mention way to hot in the store im over it so over it i dont even wanna go back
Although my store is still doing curbside only until we reopen next Monday, June 15th, I can only image it will be challenging with all our customers looking to do returns or buy something they can't live without or get those coupon adjustments. Of course, some of them may be too concerned to come out initially but they eventually will show up. But again remember we are not the only retailer who has been shut down so we will all be going through this agony at the same time. Since a lot of stores in my area have been closed, they too will be facing lines of customers waiting to do returns. Sounds like it will be just like after the holidays.
