I see so many people who are miserable here (I am one of them) and it made me wonder if there is anything left for employees to say they like or enjoy? Because I used to actually like working at Belk once upon a time, even if it hasn't been the case for years now. Now, this seems like a completely different place...

Don’t forget favoritism at belk, the manager hiring her cousin, neighbor, and ex co worker. That is rampant in the company and the higher-ups look the other way, it’s driving the company in the ground.
Went had 3 store managers in the two years I was at belk, two quit and the 3rd got fired for unknown reasons, we came into work and she was gone.
Sorry I meant to see he retired about 25 years ago, he passed in 2007
even though they sold Belk, John Belk would not want his name associated with this company called sycamore, I knew John Belk when he was in Charlotte, he died about 25 years ago, he would want his name taken off these buildings
I agree, it has no resemblance to the Belk of the late 1990s or early 2000s when I was there, those were great times and great people.
