1500 layoffs were announced much before covid 19 hit. Now more cost cutting will happen since the company is already in deep trouble...no longer a reliable defensive stock like good ol times

Start with middle management...plenty of fat to be cut. Ton of people who contribute nothing to the company.
Earlier they were in charge of organizing meaningless meetings and annual picnics. Now in Covid era, even those are gone !
more early retirement /redundancies to office staff ,, cutting the fat , the ones who do nothing finally getting the heave-ho
