Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Hey Tom, you say UP hires people that are weak minded and don’t stand up for themselves as managers....when was the last time you stood up to anyone? I hear complaints all the time about managers from agreement employees and managers then complain about agreement. Wouldn’t it be better for all if we tried to respect each other? Statements saying others are stupid are counterproductive and just ignorant. There are various levels of intelligence in both agreement and non-agreement. There are good and bad in everything, including the entire workforce. Why should the managers show you respect when you obviously show them none? If both groups learned to be more tolerant and listen to each other we would have a much better work environment.

Railroad always hires wise men. They are experts at everything. Just ask them, they will educate you.

Amen to the break free, finally someone who gets it.

That applies to any job. As long as you work for the man.
Start your own business, that's the only way to break free. But then you have the government to answer to lol

And yet... the company is making money, the stock is rising and your just here left sniveling. I’d say that’s a success story.

Number 5 there Tom seems like that is hardly ever reciprocated. Instead the company complains they don’t make enough money to increase pay and pay for insurance yet they post record profits. They owe you a job if you sign on the dotted line but instead they try to fire you from day one (even after training you to do the job which cost them thousands) and they furlough randomly even when it’s known they don’t have enough employees to do the work. They run off the customers because they don’t fit the program that they are trying to run which cost jobs they promised you when you signed on. The list goes on and on.
