My store manager said if I wanted to come back work, I should think about stepping down to part-time to get me back to work. Then he would see how soon he could make me full-time again. All I can say that s—s been working full-time for 2 years now what, I think I going to look for another job. Good Luck everyone.
They are not taking back FULL TIMERS so start looking for a new job I spoke with a manager and asked when can I come back to work the response was I DON'T KNOW but there are working.
I'm in Bay area. Lots of violence out here. Had to move cuz couldn't afford expenses. Don't wanna return cuz of safety. Plus I'm in a pending transfer to another state. Store closed. Does anyone know if furlough ends I can ride out my unemployment without them. Cuz I'm done with them after 14yrs. Semi retired
I went back to work on June 1st. I wasn't expecting to return until the 13th so I was surprised to get a call for return weeks earlier. I was really hoping to sit out much longer...
Guarantee some people who got the call, will be called tomorrow to come in Monday.
yeah that line right there "This message is confirmation that your furlough is being extended. We will contact you when your store is re-opening or we are extending services and need you to return to work." was in our update that said we were out to the 13th but guess what nope so like i said dont count on being out til the 27th cause that line was never in any previous emails so take that a a read between the lines notice u will prob be going back before the 27th lol so make plans now to be ready BEFORE june 19th cause we never even made it to our next update and are open
Dear Associate:
I hope that this email finds you and your family safe and well. I would like to provide you with an update on our plans to open more of our stores, expand curbside services for customers, and what this means for you.
We are continuing to accelerate our re-opening plans and expect to open hundreds more stores in the coming weeks, while also extending the number of stores that offer BOPIS and contactless curbside. We have seen strong engagement from customers as our stores have re-opened and continue to see a positive response to our BOPIS and contactless curbside service.
I am proud of the achievements made by our team throughout this COVID period. The approach we’re taking to open our stores means we are also able to bring thousands more of our people back to work.
We continue to make decisions informed by the latest guidance from federal, state, province and local government. Based on what we currently know, a portion of our stores will remain closed until at least June 27, 2020. In line with our last announcement, this means we will also extend the furlough of a portion of store and corporate associates until at least June 27, 2020. We will continue to pay 100% of the cost of healthcare premiums for all furloughed associates who are not being paid and currently participate in the Company’s health plan, until further notice.
This message is confirmation that your furlough is being extended. We will contact you when your store is re-opening or we are extending services and need you to return to work.
I want to assure you that we are taking measured, purposeful steps to resume normal operations so that we can bring our teams back to work in the short, medium and long-term. We will continue to do so with your safety and the safety of our customers as our number one priority, guided by our own medical team as well as the latest guidance from federal, state, province and local government and health authorities.
Our financial strength and flexibility allows us to take this thoughtful, market-by-market approach, while we invest in rebuilding our business and introducing new services for our loyal customers.
I want to thank all of our dedicated associates for helping us resume operations safely and I look forward to welcoming more of our teams back into our business as we re-open stores in the coming weeks.
We plan to share another company-wide update on 19 June and will notify you as soon as possible regarding your return to work status.
