belk has never been concerned with the associates feelings or rights. They are oblivious to what actually is going on on the sales floor. It does not matter if you are a top performer, your hours get cut because the way they do the schedule does not factor in that we are human. Unfortunately I don't have a lot choices so I stay at belk. This new belk one is just another example. People coming back after the furlough are really struggling. And all this talk about sales being good is just another lie. Unfortunately they think we are stupid. belk has been in trouble for a while now. Just because they are not up front with us does not that some of us don't see whats really going on. You can't run a business like that and expect to succeed. Just walk in any belk and feel the negativity. Most associates are so unhappy there all they can do is complain. The smart ones are looking for another job.

Can you update if the discrimination lawsuit is moving foward please? I was discriminated against when I was there and when I spoke up, I was fired.
s-xual harassment is also a major problem, it's happened to me
I know a few managers who went to a lawyer, they have a solid case.
The discrimination is obvious with the younger management. They think they know it all and buddy up with the younger ones and talk about dating and the drama in their own lives and laugh behind the backs of the older ones. The older ones are the ones holding the place together. I've seen it with my own eyes.
Customers are talking about the atmosphere at belk. They don't like the changes at all.
Supposedly a group of ex managers and associates and some current managers and associates have met with a law firm reguarding an age and race descrimination lawsuit, I’m not sure if they already met because of the covid situation
