So I am not complaining about going back to work. I love my job. My problem is I was told we were furloughed through the 13th of June by email and a phone call. My daughter is active military and I only get to see her when she can come home. She made plans to see me and her brother before the 13th of June. Then I get a phone call saying I needed to come to work by the 8th or I would be placed on an LOA. I am not even home.

Sorry, I had a son in the Military so I understand your pain. However, you are furloughed so I am confused as to your understanding of your situation. If you want to be with your family simply take a leave. You won't get your unemployment anyway if you refuse to come back
Ask to talk to your HR partner. When someone at my store was reactivated, they told the store manager that they were out of town. The store manager partnered with HR and had an extra 7 days. They could not claim unemployment for that week since their job was offered back to them

You don’t have to worry why don’t you stay home have a visit with your family and make room for someone else to take your place at work permanently
Got the call Friday to come back to work on Memorial Day. Almost 2 months on furlough and they bring us back on a holiday And say Sunday was your day off.
Why don’t you go and tell your SM that everyone else is being furloughed till June 27, why aren’t you

Sorry family plans?? This is not a vacation!! Who’s going on vacation at this time with the pandemic Covid-19 going on.
According to unemployment if you refuse to accept work you could potentially loose unemployment. You have to ready and willing to accept work. Yes BBB said furloughed till said date but all that could and can change.
If you make less than what your unemployment $ is while employed with reduced hrs in this current situation we are in,you are still able to collect unemployment but it will be reduced. Check with your state unemployment. The $600 extra is only available till the end of July.
see in the unemployment it says u HAVE TO be ready willing and able to go back to work and thats how they get ya , cause with u not being home (and im NOT saying they r right just stating what UI says) your not technically ready willing or able to go back to work so they cant keep giving u benefits its either go back or be screwed :(

That really stinks!! I got called back a few weeks ago and was told the same thing...different situation but still ruined my families plans BBB could care less about us as humans.
