Why would you furlough currently your most experienced operator in a section who also has to help operators around him because the chargehand doesn't have a clue.

Consultation is a waste of time. The hit list is already made up and points will be made to suit. We will just work their way down the list until we get our numbers.

Guys at a time like this you really need to embrace each other, I will show you how to do it.
They could start redundancy for people that aren't on furlough but they can't do anything with the guys on furlough now for at least 3 week's. It's highly unlikely they will do redundancies separately. This is getting done like this not to push it through quicker as mentioned below but the complete opposite. This is being done to prolong work, positions and income for employee's as long as possible in case the market picks up and changes the plan.
Unfortunately they can start the redundancies while guys are on furlough. Not sure how they are going to manage this but they can. Seems they are trying a different method this time make it go thru quicker.
They can't furlough everyone as work still to be done and the government won't allow them to do it on a rotational basis. We can probably guess why those guys were picked and we can probably guess the people who will be picked on Monday. You just have to accept the the place is not fair and rotten to the core. Just look at what they have done to fat boy. It's about being a loyal serpent.

5 furloughed from mc shop on Friday afternoon. Won't be surprised if others will be put on it on Monday from the other shift. Not sure about other departments.
Because operators have been furloughed the government says it has to be a minimum of 3 weeks so you now know that you won't here anything regards redundancies until that 3 week period has expired.
They can furlough us as long as you still have a job which we do. If it is announced your position is being made redundant then they would have to take you off furlough

Seems to be a common theme in that section that normal operators do the charge hands job by helping people then they get shafted.
Apparently he was shown how to use the spyware. Probably by someone else with an agenda.
They like operators who work through there breaks that's why the two baldies and Friday night will be kept.
Probably a guy that speaks his mind?? managers dont like honesty , they see it as inlammatory.
