I've been an employee of Walmart for 11 years. They did away with my position. And I decided to take the severance pay. My issue is they're offer was for a little over $1,200. Is that exceptable? Am I missing something? Cause that amount doesn't seem right.

After you receive severance, apply for unemployment,.. everyone is getting 600 a week on top of their already state benefit...if you are late don't worry,..you will get retroactive pay..
Can you apply for unemployment and get 600 a week on top of your state benefit?

21 years here with company - no longer part of those h$lLL HOLES - be happy you even got that because they could’ve of just fired you like they did me - no door got opened for me to speak -
That number is way off. Education has nothing 2 do with it. 2 weeks per year max @40. BE GLAD YOU ARE OUT OF THAT HELL Hole.!!
Average is one week for every year, in any position IF the job is eliminated.
I think you misunderstood it is probably 11,000
Depends. What was your position and what level of education do you have? I assume after 11 years you had an undergraduate degree and were at least a manager. If so, that is not enough close to enough.

I thought it was like 1 week of pay for every year. But what was your position that got eliminated?
