So Aberdeen are to dismiss some members of staff currently on sick leave the word is. Claiming gross misconduct by not fulfilling contract! All to avoid paying redundancy packages.

Personally think its time to cut these guys loose , theres SOME genuinely sick and on the other hand theres “sick” And milking it ........
I would also drop the old guys that are approaching retirement ..... guys in their 60’s scrambling about for any morsel of recognition or promotion is not only demeaning to them it is embarassing for others to watch ,
Blanket d–g and alcohol test the workforce also
Guarantee if they took this approach the need for genuine redundancy would almost disappear

Shafted how ? If they arent at work then what purpose do they serve ? Almost certain that the company wouldnt sack anyone on the sick without good reason ..........e.g. not maintaining proper communication in which case it can be classed as misconduct maybe they should volunteer for redundancy ?
