Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Really!

I returned to work last week, got around 40 hours because we were opening up to the public on Friday. This week I got 15 hours ??? WTF asked MGRS about it and was told that the store payroll was cut. Why bother to bring me off of furlough ?
Yes our store hours have changed for customers to shop M-S 10 to 6, S 11to 5. Our store has been busy with shoppers and curbside pickup. Plus our store has been an online ship out store since March.
My fellow coworkers who have been employed during the shutdown, getting extra $$ have been Rude. They feel that they can talk down to you, bark orders....its like there surpior! I didn't ask to be furloughed, I was willing to work. Don't blame me, I'm back to help !
Then it's good your back, I need a vacation....like you had ???? Really. The store is busy, lines, returns, curbside, TBS order shipping.
And no hours to help eas the pain , just don't get it.

if you live in NYS customers have to wear masks and if its not enforced call your county officials and they will help

Wait, are you saying we have to wear masks but the customers don’t?

I totally understand, it's the same at my location. Customers friendly....co workers NOT. The extra hazard pay should continue, were still required to wear masks and gloves. Handling the returns, customers breathing on you, no masks.
