Furloughs - Layoffs

Has anybody been laid off yet after being placed on 3 month furlough? Has anybody returned to work after being placed on furlough?

I left USPI on my own in 2019 after Tenet took over. They took a great company and basically gutted it. It was awful after they arrived. Thankfully I was in the perfect financial situation to leave and I am glad I did. I was employed five weeks later making more money and happy to be out of that toxic environment. Good riddance.

Does anyone know how many employees were impacted in the 2020 layoffs? I was one of the employees furloughed then laid off. While I am not happy to be job searching, I am ok with leaving Tenet. The overall leadership and culture were horrible. I felt expendable the entire time I was there. Never a good feeling. Wishing you all the best in your job searches!

I got hit as well after being on furlough for nearly 3 months. While I'm not excited to be finding a job in the current environment, I am very happy that I'm no longer working in an environment where the leaders don't give a damn about the outstanding teams they have working for them. I wish the best of luck to my friends and co-workers that are left behind. If you work in the corporate sector, keep your resume up to date as a lot of those jobs are moving to the Philippines.

I am getting let go after 3 month furlough. Tenet is garbage, Ron Rittenmeyer is garbage, and he will probably drop dead from obesity by the hand of karma.. to all of my fellow tenet refugees- god bless and good luck!

As you have been laid off or furloughed with no end in sight, the comb-over king has just gotten more stock $1.6Mil worth at today's dropping share price. Honestly this individual is more concerned with his image that taking care of employees, surrounded by his cronies, who are all getting rich, while you suffer trying to figure out how to pay for rent, insurance and basic living expenses. Do yourself a favor and bail now while the bailing is good and other much better employers have opportunities.

yes they laid off myself and two other corp staff in my dept on July 3 that I know of.
The new CEO that seized control is outsourcing all the corp and regional offices staff like San Antonio
to the Philippines and making them train their replacements .
That will fate to the poor people who haven't left .

Many were laid off today that have been on furlough. Best of luck to all of you, I hope you land somewhere that appreciates you more than this toxic company.

While you have been furloughed, the management team is getting stock, they will offshore your jobs and get paid more for doing so. Most toxic company ever.

i haven't heard anything tied to layoffs and furloughs but there has been some conversations about layoffs in general. about 25% of our dept in particular. idk if this is the standard. they have said they want to end the furlough by the end of june but this is the same time they plan to have the outsourced ppl at 100% so they may quietly lay ppl off under the guise of hardships due to covid. funny how every dept is under some form of furlough but the outsourced filipinos are still okay to work forty hours.

I've only heard rumors that Tenet, and my hospital in particular, "never" rehires furloughed employees. I'm actively looking for other jobs. I don't know if we will have any legal recourse if they don't rehire us, and I am doubtful that there is any legal action to be taken.
