Communications being absorbed by Signal Dept

Latest news is that Signal Department is now taking over the Communications guys. Any word on the streets or what this will mean for Telecom Arsa's and Managers?

We are in for the ride of our life. If you think that the signal department give on rip about us you are a fool. Start looking for a better job now. When the Telcom manager get done training the MSM they will be told to Exercise their rights or find a new job. The bumps are coming.

Starky, Wisniski, Frisse, Foster, Farmer, Lewis, Spencer, Manero....Souba........Wow, great job guys! Really hit this one out of the ball park! The way you guys managed and led our team......well.......um.......exceptional. The years I put up with just to be awarded with giant dumpster fire of a company and department......what a waste of a career. Now all I can look forward to is maybe being healthy enough at retirement to drink it all out of my mind. What a bunch of losers...... Is that really the best that we got? signal dept lol......Fireman, B&B, clerks....the writing is on the wall fellas. Pretty sure I seen Communications written in lead based finger paints at the bottom.....right above the asbestos tiles.....yep right there above the ball gags. Get your Gimp suits out boys, get ready for a ride!

Yeah....BRS would be swell compared to (railroad) IBEW.....but what would happen to your seniority etc.....most likely would never happen. SR ET will be the 24/7 on-call do whatever is asked job its always been. Mean while Signal E.T.'s get paid more, can take themselves off call, and get better represented. Starky is worthless....Wisniski is worthless....this coming from a former Local President. Union's at the railroad are too weak....they will always be too weak given the fact that we "cant strike." We are to blame for not being more accountable at standing our ground. What other union job would you be on-call 24/7 without being compensated? If everyone stopped worrying about their job and grew a pair we'd be better represented. We all need to remember that the union has done nothing to secure our jobs. They can and will do whatever they want despite how well you perform your work. Grow a pair, stand up for yourselves, give up on Starky and Wisniski. Don't use them as a scapegoat; you control your destiny. Meals, CDL's, on-call pay, don't get me started! You only get one life to live, why live it donating your entire life to a place that doesn't give a #2 about you. Don't get me wrong if I get paid and leave work: that's one thing, but the railroad owns you 24/7 for the next 30.....screw this place.

Down hill yes but what do you expect? We are Communication workers represented by an Electrical Union. Who do you think the Red Headed Step Children are in this scenario? Wisenski is really no better than Starkey and basically has washed his hands of Telecomm. IBEW is a fairly good union just not in the RailRoad industry. If the chance is there to be represented by BRS instead of IBEW we should jump as quickly as possible. Im sure BRS has its problems but at least we would have strength in numbers. We have really nothing now. Remember the meal thing that never should have went to arbitration but did for two years and then scramble egg head screwed up all the claims that were due by not filing them in time. Even the Arbitraitor said this should have never went to arbitration and should have been done with out arbitration as it was clear violation of contact but scramled egg head and his boss (Wisenski) thought that is the way to handle instead of having any balls what so ever and fought it head on. Im done or i could go on forever.

Sounds like a triggered Signal Dog talking. If you really think the IBEW has a clue what Telecom does and is a good union then your fooling yourself. It may be in other industries. The IBEW has a so called Assitant General Chairman that is supposed to represent telecom in what is really an electrician union. I hate to say it but I will. His brain is scrambled and his counterparts are protecting his position. You are a disgruntled BRS member and it shows. Your not fooling any body in the IBEW. IBEW s—s and i know for a fact most would rather be represented by BRS. For one thing strength in numbers dumb a–. Not that it really matters we are all f—ed.

The signal union is the worst bunch of grease balls I have ever been around. Telecomm maybe under signal management but we will never swap to that ratty so called union.

The managers will be training their replacements and who knows after that. Ive heard the Arsa's will be told to exercise their seniority. The only General Director I hear will be taking more of an HR role in training. I would guess developing training to teach Signal personal to do Telecom work.

Will they be selling any of their used furniture or having any sort of a close out sale?
