Poor management up their own backsides
houston office continued layoff .
20% till today for this month.
6 laid of in the CGG Perth office too.
Doesn't sound much, but probably @20% of the total as it's a small office.

It's all on the grapevine/word of mouth at the moment. Small world, seismic.
But I've not heard anything about numbers from friends in Crawley.

SO THOSE ARE REFERRING TO PGS AND BP. WHERE IS THE LINK TO CGG?
I ASK BECAUSE THIS WEBSITE IS ABOUT CGG LAYOFFS.
We read news:
1) PGS (reducing office-based personnel by approximately 40%)
https://newsweb.oslobors.no/message/507313
2) BP (about 15%)
IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY CONCRETE EVIDENCE THEN REFRAIN FROM POSTING C-ap LIKE THIS.

what is the source of these rumours?
If that's headcount reduction, presumably it will be experienced and expensive technical staff (maybe some managers in Massy - we can but hope) whilst they still hire cheap PhDs to work 12 hour days.
