Thread regarding UPS layoffs

No advantages to being in management at UPS

There are no advantages to being in management at UPS. Example. Hourly employees get overtime pay-management don't, hourly don't pay for benefits- management pays for their benefits, hourly earn their vacation based on previous last year hours worked-management earn their vacation in the current year. Example a 25 years driver who retires on jan 2 will be paid 6 weeks vacation, a management employee with 25 years of service that retires on jan 2 will be paid 0

Exactly what @1Gqkt+13sYhNta said. It's ridiculous how things are set up here. It's like UPS wants us to be unhappy and leave on our own.

UPS is no longer what it used to be. Our pensions gone, you work long hours, you write your own exceptional reviews to just get a 1cent raise, management pay rate is lower than the market rate compared to state average pay rate. If you never want to see your family and looking to not get appreciated, then UPS is for you.

There are no advantages of going into UPS management anymore. You work an average of 75 hours per week without any additional compensation. Hourly employees have a much better compensation package as overtime pay and vacations which the Teamsters negotiated. UPS needs to have another VRP that includes operations employees.

UPS management is for college students getting a degree and job experience. Other than that, it's a dead end job unless you are willing to get your nose "brown". - Current UPS Management since 2014
