my team’s manager quit and there’s no plan to find a replacement

I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Encompass will still have claims coming in on a system that NAT does not have. It will take awhile to transfer everything over to one system.
So are we safe or do you think some cuts will come on our side?
Yep. It's going to be a nightmare. It will likely be mostly Allstate folks but they are working towards a process oriented structure.
Meaning 1 HR, 1 Accounting, etc. They are currently identifying everything that is redundant in the current model. I can imagine others will be part of a future wave of RIFs
