From this week the company will tell you that what your added responsibilities are. Many of you might not have been given a dime for added management responsibilities. This is the time and it is alright to ask for raise because it was not part of your contract or job description that your title can change anytime or you will be given added departments but not a raise.
You can ask and please share the information so that they know you are not an animal working hard and than next year comes and your position is gone. You can ask for raise. Do it now or work like an animal for nothing.
If they don’t give you raise what you have to lose!!!

I highly doubt they will give raises anytime soon. They just let thousands go. And even when times were better before this pandemic they always found a way to nickel & dime people. There were years I worked where they used the numbers game as a reason why I didn't get a raise. And the raises are a joke. I've never seen more than maybe .50 cents or .55 cents. Some of my friends I worked with (who busted their butts on the sales floor doing the dirty work while others just stood behind the register getting credit cards & sales numbers up) got as low as .17 cents. Honestly, though financially things are hard on me b/c I was terminated, or the other hand it is a blessing they let me go. After 20 years a person gets burned out, not so gung ho as they want you to be, & I just couldn't swallow their spoon-fed b.s. anymore. You know what my final salary was just before being terminated ? Not even $2 above the $15 minimum wage. Just pathetic. May take some time, but thank you Macy's for giving me wings to fly so I can try to find a real job, & a better paying one.
The best way to put a target on your back is to ask for a raise. Of course the expectation is to do more, but so what? I've survived several cutbacks with extra work added to my responsibilities, but at least I was still working. Not every store is union, so just be grateful you have a job in these trying times and hope you don't get laid off anytime soon. Now is not the time to push your luck.
Remember "Path To Growth" becomes very quickly "Path To Throw" ... Please act cautiously. Best is to change company instead of trying to change company.
I bolted out as soon as my two year contract was over!! Now I am CEO of a tractor company!!
A raise. You have at least have a job and others do not.
Ask for a raise during COVID and prove how clueless you are. Then watch how fast you drop to the bottom of your department ranking.
Most job descriptions include “other duties as assigned”; any added responsibilities to your position would fall under this ... but it certainly can’t hurt to ask. Just be prepared for a “no”.
unless you are in a union store!! not much but something. they just settled their contract.

They give a raise (.25 - .50) in May for the magnet store i work; I doubt they will be giving another one this year regardless of added responsibilities.....
In good times, asking for a raise is a joke!
if you really want a raise amazon is hiring !
Who would want their worthless stock!
The company decided not to give annual raises/merit increases with reviews this year. It is very unlikely they will be giving any other raises outside of that since they did not give the annual ones. They also cancelled path to growth incentive. Even when we do get increases they are typically very small. Macys generally doesnt pay as well as most other companies. Most people dont stay for the money but because they like the people they work with and have a more flexible schedule with shift advertising etc.. I know you all deserve raises but dont count on them.
Well, then perhaps they could give us some of the cheap stocks so that when they go up a bit we can can ours in like Jeffy and co.!
You can ask for a raise but i will bet you won't get one. the company is CASH SHORT!!! They are cutting positions to SAVE OUTGOING CASH!!! Think people !! Sure it won't hurt to ask but you will surely hear about it.
I would be shocked if the company gave raises.
