Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

1515 and 345 personal belongings

I received notice that they have begun packing personal belongings at 1515 and 345 Hudson. Based on their emails and lack of communication post layoffs - anyone else worried their belongings will be misplaced or broken when they ~eventually~ receive them?

I got only some of my stuff, and a bunch of junk that wasn't mine. I've contacted the building people and HR about the missing things. It's been two weeks and haven't heard back at all. I think it was handled very poorly. But then again, one should't expect a former employer to care about former employees. They got their bottom lines (and legal butts) to protect.

I’m missing most of my personal stuff too and not getting any responses back from HR. I know one person who has contacted a lawyer because their belongings were thrown away.

I just received a singular box of personal items (4 months after my layoff) and it's mainly random Viacom swag I kept at my desk and none of my actual personal items (sentimental items, coat and change of shoes kept at my desk)... But at least I have the XXL sweatshirt to advertise the team I no longer work for.

Has anyone who was laid off at the end of April received their personal items yet? I’m still waiting for HR to let me know what the process is.

Not allowed in the building or allowed to be on call while someone is going through your desk to determine what will be sent back to you.

F— off. People are entitled to get their belongings back. They didn't choose to get fired. Glad to see VIaCBS kept the biggest a–holes possible who come to this website to gloat and troll the thousands of people who lost their jobs. Can't wait to see this entire company disappear into its own dirty a–hole

I’ve had a courier service reach out to schedule delivery. They weren’t able to provide a packing list.

I fully expect my belongings to be destroyed and/or stolen by the lowest common denominator garbage people that were kept.

i'm guessing it's just for ppl who were laid off. ostensibly we will start returning to the office in some way in the new year.

It’s fine. Security will do a zoom call with you I’m your space or office and visually work with you on what needs to be packed up.

Are they packing up everyone’s belongings or only people who were laid off?
