Work from home reimbursement

As everyone here knows, Fidelity employees are working from home. Currently, only management employees are being reimbursed for cell phones, but as all employees are using private devices, does the company run the risk of a lawsuit for not reimbursing for cell phone and WiFi?

What on earth is Fidelity doing? This is so disturbing to me as a customer that Fidelity is not choosing to give employees work cell phones for work. How has no one at this company thought through the privacy and security implications of having people work with Fidelity accounts and Fidelity customers talking on whatever phone they feel like using. FTC - please investigate!

Go over to the IBM board and read their stuff. It’ll make you feel better.

The company has removed internet reimbursement for everyone. I guess enough people b–ched that others had it, so they said f— you to those who have always been remote.

And today Fidelity announces $300 work from home bonus and a monthly bonus up to $300 per month to help with child care. What a great company we work for!!

It’s different in that wfh is currently a requirement vs. an option

When we got rid of the blackberry devices and were given $ for BYOD, people were happy to get something. When WFH was established long ago, we had to sign a form that we would still pay taxes for the state we were assigned to work in and would have our own setup in a secure location. Why is this different?

Yes should be you broadband too. Have seen many people in the company who worked remote (not management) before the pandemic and expense their home internet, why should it be different?
