So I’ve gone from 39 hours A week before the furlough to 37.5 then to 35, then to 32 and finally to 30. My 401k match has ended, HSA contribution has ended, health insurance incentives have ended, and apparently we are only getting paid 6 hours for a vacation day. I guess all that’s left is for me to be dropped to part time or have my pay cut, one or both of which I fully expect in August. I am actively applying for another job but so are millions of other people. I just wish my position would be eliminated and they would offer me severance. I’ll be very surprised if Belk makes it until the end of the year.

There is no guarantee of severance pay from any company. They are not obligated to pay this.
If you see opportunity- take a new job now. The market is saturated with retailers looking to land a new position.
