I never got a going forward email. I got a separation email and then I got a phone call that I was being called back. I said I’ll accept the separation because they gave me nothing in writing that I was going forward. I didn’t get the separation package and now it’s not showing in my insite messages though I have copies of it in my email.

Not 100% sure, but I would say no, you do not receive severance. At that point, you are no longer ‘laid off’; you are choosing not to return and subsequently, quit.
