Captain Position....What is it?

Has anyone been given a definitive description of what exactly the "Captain" position entails? I'm sure it's the same amount of work with less pay, but would love to know if there has been a written job description yet? I've been told nothing about it. Thank you.

To the sales mgr. who was let go and a sales associate got your old job - I know you probably would have said no but they did offer it to you at all? He must have been a favorite with a high ranking.

I got let go as a sales supervisor and another associate is now being offered a captain position in the department I worked in. They are offering him a $1 raise which gets him to around $11 an hour, he gets to do all the things I had to do as a supervisor but is still paid $9 less than I was. So yeah....go figure...mind you without even accepting the job they already had him scheduled in that department for the next 2 weeks....that's Macy's passive aggressive behavior, it's always been a thing.

I am glad I did not have to sit and look at my store manager when she called to let me know I had a job. It was more pleasant to finally tell her you can save that job and I'll take my life back. Was horrendous to colleagues and customers, yet the company kept that person. A colleague would have been fired. How comes, can someone please explain!

What job did you lose to then be told you would be a captain? I need to know that to tell you how screwed you are.
