I was laid off from my job 6/30 after being on furlough since late March. I haven't gotten my severance yet. I called the Macys support # and after entering in all my pertinent info, a message played saying all office associates are undergoing training. Why do that on the last day when severance packets are supposed to be available? Makes no sense. Anyone else having this problem yet?

Mine just arrived.
Did you update your personal email address because the 6/30 I got laid off and with in 4 hrs I had an email saying how much severance I was getting and last night I was emailed the documents to esign
I worked for a store that closed March 30. I received my emailed severance pkg on April 3 and had to e sign the form or I could mail a signed copy back but that would take longer. I received my direct deposit severance money on May 15th, 6 weeks later. There was really no other communication about it all. My co workers and I kept wondering when we would receive it or any notifications of the exact $ amount we would be getting but never got that info before the $ was deposited. You receive one week of pay for every year worked up to 26 weeks. Only taxes are deducted from severance pay. An HR coworker said you dont have to report it on unemployment because it is considered a 'gift' I was temporarily shut out of insite but 'ask HR' said to log in under 'Former employee sign in.' You may have to reset your password so they said to use your employee # and the word temp and the last 4 of your SSN as a password which will get you on the page where you can reset to a new password. You will be able to see paychecks, benefit info, and Cobra insurance info. Cobra insurance info will be mailed to you so make sure insite has the correct email and mailing address for you. Best of luck to you all hope this helps!
I believe many of us have a potential Ckass action lawsuit. I’m seeking legal counsel as was told by my Store Manager that due to budget and smaller work force, the store would t be going forward with my Position. On July 6th was informed by friend/former colleague that he was given my Position as Stylist. In my case, there was retaliation prior to furlough regarding complaint of unsafe work environment. The Store manger ,retaliated with trying to change my sales goals and also accused me of spreading lies. She also pulled in another Manager to ask if he knew anything about OSHA claim, and asked if he thought it could of been me.
I get furloughed and the issues then become Dead in the water This was her way to get me out except, I have a strong paper trail with lots of documentation.
This company is shady and walks the legal line on so many CODE OF CONDUCT policies.
I called them first thing this morning at 10 am. The guy on the phone told me they have to sent out like 30k or 36k severance packages. It sounded like they haven’t sent very many out yet at all. He said they are still working on it. I confirmed my email with him and they have the correct one. I have not received the package yet either, but them waiting until the last minute is not surprising. They also close my INSITE account, so I was definitely laid off.
I still have my email, states amount plus the insurance portion they will pay for 3 months, and also we all should have paperwork by july 15
Last response did you keep the email dated Thursday June 25th which has your personal information about your severance amount and weeks?
The initial summary of severance we received stating how many weeks we would get and the dollar amount attached to those weeks has disappeared. So no proof as to what we were told.
Yeah I haven’t received anything yet also. It’s ridiculous for them to wait until the last day to send us the paperwork but I guess we shouldn’t be that surprised.
Still waiting. I know it's the correct email because I received the separation notice just fine.
Can’t get a call back and everything you all have said.
Someone on this forum suggested getting an attorney and was ridiculed by others. Now the big "M" suggests it. Huh!!!
I received mine last night. It’s long, hard to read on the computer, and it states multiple times that you should seek any attorney before signing. I’m going to print it but they should have nailed paper copies. And who can afford an attorney when they don’t have a job
I'm getting the same response you are, No Response. I also received email telling me my last day of employment would be June 30th and that I qualified for a severance package. Which I would receive by July 15th. So far nothing and can't get anyone in Colleague Support.
Corporate and haven't received anything yet either. Can't login to hr system either.
