Eastern declined the last 10 years under poor leadership that he refused to let go. The only time there was growth was via M&A. Conway was more forward thinking but that was after he got out of the way. Great guy, always loyal, tough but mostly fair.. but he let his loyalty get in the way of making the tough decisions. XBS cleaned house quickly over there top to bottom and Vega's guy took over. Just wonder how many good people would have stayed if they did it a few years sooner.

Guess you did not know Mose when he was building Eastern. And then Conway.

Mos was a bum. He was exposed after Eastern president was let go for performance and then Conway president was let go for s-xual harassment. XBS always loved him until they kept finding buried bones. He was great at managing the decline with strong financials but never could grow a company.
