I work Fresh cap 1. We are currently averaging around 3 call offs every day. Over the last two weeks, we’ve only had 2-3 people working meat, produce, and bakery. We get help from Cap 1, but that takes away from their jobs. Management claims they can’t do anything about it. Who else deals with this c-ap? You really can’t help but laugh because we lose sales due to empty shelves.

We have the same call out problem. part of the problem is not only that when people call out those of us who are working have to take up the slack, when it comes time for raises or MyShare we will all get the same amount. We have people who have checked the right (wrong) box on the Covid test and have been given two weeks pay to stay home. How is that fair?
Market HR Managers have given their SM/People Leads permission to cut hours of those constantly calling in. They will be scheduled based on their average hours worked a week. We have an associate that works a day a week and calls in the rest. They will only be scheduled for that day they show up every week. Rewarding those who show up with as many hours as they want.
I'm a csm. Half the cashiers call out everyday. Afraid to work because of covid. I'm here getting my a– chewed because not enough registers open. Have to have 4 people at grocery and GM door, no cart pushers. Not getting any support from management. This job s—s.
You guys know that Walmart does not give a c-ap about their employees . . . its all about the money – and reducing staffing down to a thread – which is coming real soon with the introduction of GWP. Let the good times role.
I read this trying to understand the question ? Your working for a nine caring bottom line encouraged company and your wondering where the help is ? When is the Calvary coming ? Maybe you should have some nuts and tell your store manager / Dist / MAPM / Apm / regional / Mkt Ast mgr to get off their a$$’$ and come help stock the shelves !
You won’t do it of course and stay working for pc. Of Dudu job that will continue to treat you this way !
