Thread regarding GE Aviation layoffs

Very True

Who paid the price? All the long term dedicated employees of GE.

It is time for change at GE and they should continue to layoff all those who where dedicated to GE's success except for the leadership...

@1akj+15VGwwxP , I attended the Lean Event there in Greenville back in March. We really thinned the herd didn't we! ;) . But seriously, it was a waste of time and money.

No one speaks of the huge permanent layoff at the Schenectady, NY location and how much turmoil, frustration, and hard times it caused for the loyal dedicated employees. They uncovered the initial scope of the problem in March 2017, immediately scrambled to do a huge layoff in May, and then the deep dive into the problem in August. For crying out loud, two-jet could not even stay for the Schenectady plant town hall open house right before all of this. He answered a few questions and then they whisked him away in a fancy golf cart because he was "tired" from travelling. Must have been all that energy he was devoting to digesting the steak and lobster.........

Totally illogical, unbelievable, and outrageous, but all true!!

No one speaks of the 40% permanent layoff at the Greenville, SC location.

I saw a colleague with 21 years at GE get his layoff notice a couple of weeks ago. It was sad. In salary there isn't any security when the business turns sour.
