Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Another EOI

I’m hearing rumours of another EOI coming out of the LRP discussions. Anyone else? Anything concrete?

With our CFO “retiring”, will Finance use this against employees again, or are we past that? Anybody?

No EOI this year. Look at earnings compared to a year ago.

No enhanced severance as vcip is likely zip this year. hopefully we can survive as the saudi's are playing us well and we have no control over our future. we are price takers and the taking is slim.

The real question is will there be a enhanced severance package. I would say not this time around. That was a gift in years past. If you turned the EOI down last time and made it through you may not be as fortunate this time around. It's all about $$$.

ELT Lobster lunch postponed this past Monday. Couldn’t find drawn butter. As a result, announcement on EOI and upcoming layoffs was delayed.

OK, it has started. They shuffle LT first, so it is easier for them to lay off people they did not work with closely recently.

Overhead is way too high per revenue. Analysts don't like the metric. Have not heard anything internal regarding EOI. Have heard from analyst community some pressure to pull overhead inline
