I have to lie to customers every time I tell them the driver will drop off their delivery on time

You lie to your own wife. That’s a bigger sin than any you listed below.

So from sales dude so far:

• Brags about 18 years of failure.
• Happily admits to lying to customers and making promises he knows won't be met.
• Thinks it's unethical to call him out for lying.
• Makes excuses that reason promises won't be met is drivers or maybe cooler or maybe plants fault.
• Doesn't think he needs to know anything about business because he can lie his way into making the customer think he knows.
• Sales don't matter as long as he gets his salary and bonus.
• More excuses about reasons he lies.

Yeah....,it’s all sales fault that a lazy driver delivered leaky milk cases to school kitchens knowingly just so they could complete their route. All the while that said school was a mere 2 blocks away to drive to get fresh and safe cases for the schools.

Back when Deans was a profitable company sales understood how milk was processed, packaged, warehouses, and loaded out. They understood the process and used that to defend the plants if a customer had an invalid complaint, kept the customer honest. Now they just BS their way through things and everything is the plant’s fault, let the customers bully the company around, lose margin, etc. Sales doesn’t actually do anything anymore but make unreasonable promises to customers, funny how the profitability of the company followed the trend of the sales people not knowing the business anymore. Sad.

Who cares....at the end of the day. I collect my salary and bonus money. While you bust your back “hookin” and “slinging” crates.

Maybe you should have got a degree in sales instead of barely passing a d–g screen and GED exam fool.

Been around long enough to remember when sales used to spend time on routes with drivers and in plants and coolers because they understood the importance of those who did the real work and used what they learned to make sales.

Get lost. My hours are to 36 a week at my facility. While you are guaranteed a SALARY plus fuel, hotels and food out on the road.

Would help if sales had some idea of how milk is processed, packaged, and delivered, but they don't and don't give a sh– to learn.

Majority of our salesman are military we thank you for your service but you really can’t sell milk if you could you wouldn’t lose work to others and you can’t blame drivers especially if the work is completed at the end of day....you could redeem yourself by getting new work not dumping into what we have so they can get credit 2 weeks later this isn’t Pepsi or coke

So now we'll know who to blame when plants start closing SALES DEPARTMENT

Please if you lose any business at this point it’s bc sales is terrible you were bought out by a co op meaning you cornered the whole market

You sound like you heard that from another big shot that probably blew that deal and you figure hey I will look like a big sh– too

Just curious... you still collect a check from deans or you unemployed?

I’m busting my tail 50 plus hours a week on the road and in the mist of a multi million dollar blockbuster deal for 8 plants in the Midwest.

This thread isn’t gonna go anywhere get new work and then you can make that statement tool bag
