You don't really think corporate is "lurking" on this board? That is insane. Why would they look at some small blog where people post many things they "heard" or they "know". But do not say how they heard or know?

Ridiculous arguing over how profitable a C or D volume store is when the entire company isn't!

C and D stores are usually not profitable for the company because they don’t bring in a lot if cash. You can talk about profitability but they changed the meaning of that for the company. A D store can be profitable but if they only bring in 500k in profit to the company, that’s not supporting any corporate aspect or role.

I’m sorry why in the world would you keep C D stores open I don’t care what anybody on here says hardly the traffic or merchandise how are you going to make money makes no sense that’s silliest thing I’ve ever heard!!!

The volume of a store has 0, I repeat 0 to do with if a store is profitable or not. 1235 used to be a profitable store because they had no competition therefor no need to send coupons. It was a low c volume store making more profit than a+ volume stores due to the scenario. Once digital coupons started to be a thing, their profitably went down the drain. Mind you, they were still profitable when they closed. Just projected to start losing money I. The next year. Store 9 is an a+ volume store that lost 2 mil for the company 2 years back. Not about traffic or volume totally. About rent and payroll etc.

The letter refer to the amount of volume (profit) a store does. D stores are the lowest. They don't see much foot traffic, have less employees, and not as much inventory.

It will be based n profitability. High rent, high shrink, etc. it doesn’t matter the volume, the stores that are losing money will be the first to go.

I may have to disagree with that though. They are looking at redundant store if they close all of the c and d stores they may have some cities with no store. Plus some c and d stores are actually very profitable due to the low payroll and low inventory.
