If any of you think you will get a penny in being laid off because the company is BROKE it is NOT happening. Nordstrom is making deals with the devil to get away with so much. SAD 😢

@Erik: you are an insensitive tool
Chupa esto. 2016 was the best time to be canned. Severance cash and a hot labor market, turned out to be a huge blessing. So glad to be away from this corpse.
Internet trolls back at it again 🙄 there are people who can find other jobs easier than others. I know people that were laid off that made Nordstrom their careers. They were about to retire and were laid off with no severance. To say shut up and move on? Some people don’t have that luxury. You don’t know everyone’s individual situation.
Oh, shut up
@Erik : irresponsible answer. We worked hard, some worked there for decades. Pay up dude! That’s the least you could do.
Stop asking for more money. We don’t have it. You worked, you got paid. Sh– happens
Erik had to sell his yacht to pay you guys. Stop asking for anymore $. You worked there, you got paid, move on. Oh, that’s what they are wanting you to abide by. No mo’ money
Please stop choking on that Kool-Aid they shoved down your throat. It's not healthy. Nordstrom ain't trying to take care of anybody.
There is not enough $ to go around. Company is bankrupt!
They didn’t offer me severance. They only gave me a 15 day notice of the layoff
Got my pto payout last week and my severance yesterday. Idk what y’all are talking about
Just layed off after 5 years of service. Crazy to think that all that hard work was for nothing. No severance was offered. Heath Insurance is subsequently ending. So much for trying to save jobs, they reduced 50% of their workforce in stores.
No severance until September? You can't be serious.
The company is not going to take care of you - you have lived inside the walls so far. Once you are outside, you will see the reality. As an ex-employee you are not adding value to their bottom line. However, what Nordy forgot that you are a customer too. So spend your $ somewhere else and that would send the message.
It is frustrating, but I do feel that the company is trying to take care of us and, maybe more importantly, survive. If they can make it through this difficult time, I think they will do quite well. I am a big believer in the Nordstrom Local concept.
Many of you won’t see payments before Sept. There is not enough $ to go around. Be patient. Nordy leadership is prepared to tackle lawsuits so that may not help. Some payments may come out in 2021. Stay patient people
