As a HCL employee I can assure you they definitely will not figure it out or come looking for it.
what are you blathering about?
Why would you ask an HR question here? HCL guy, they will figure it out eventually and come after the money.
To the HCL person who got overpaid - be careful. Eventually if their bean counters find the error, they may come after you. Though for 2 weeks I doubt they would bother unless they legally had to.
Funny story. After Zerox transferred me to HCL, I found a new job and quit. HCL was so incompetent they overpaid me by at least 2 weeks but didn’t pay my vacation (which was worth less ) so I didn’t contest it. That was last year & I already completed my taxes & received tax forms without any contention from HCL. Incompetent mess over there (both Zerox & leaches at HCL).
Hopefully this is clear:
You get paid what you earned for vacation to the point you leave. For example:
You work from Jan 01 to June 30
Your yearly vacation allotment is 4 weeks
You have earned- or worked- half the year so you will get 2 weeks pay as vacation pay. You do not get a full year of vacation pay. Only what you have earned to the point you leave and it is calculated per quarter as stated by others.
Hope that helps.
Yes. For xerox direct for Voluntary separations or IRIF. When I left I got the quarterly vacation payout as mentioned by another poster.
If you are fired it is at their discretion
Yes. You earn it quarterly (in my area at least) as long as you work at least 1 day in that quarter. Your manager will report how many vacation days you have left to payroll when you leave, and that will be added to your last paycheck.
