Sounds like HR is looking to outsource much of the function as their new model and working with a big 4 consultant. Anyone else hearing this? Looking for a reliable source? Are other parts of corporate on the block as well? Is this to position the company for a merger? Exxon seemed interested at one point....

HR needs to outsource their real work so they can wokely focus 100% on D&I and social justice causes.
XOM could create value in acquiring us simply by gutting the useless bureaucracy. There’s a reason we never see the costs of all overhead. Take the assets, keep the operations, get rid of everything else, and the acquisition pays for itself. Nothing in our bureaucracy creates value, we have no clever insightful process or technology, we simply enrich these useless “leaders”.
Not surprised, IT did this years ago with most being contractors now. HR adds little value other than police the system and do as they are told. Systems are outdated and leadership is stale.
By acquiring ConocoPhillips Exxon Mobil could boost its production as well as its proven reserves substantially, and the price does not look expensive (even when we assume a sizable takeover premium). Producing assets and existing reserves owned by Exxon Mobil are valued at a much higher price than assets and reserves owned by ConocoPhillips – by buying COP Exxon Mobil can take advantage of that.
Who cares? It is a support function.
Plus, the ELT is known to be working with Dominos to outsource meals.
Everything is on the table. Count on management to make the wrong decision.
How can they do that? This is BS! Stop post this rubbish.
