GWP rollout

Had division and region in the store last week. I (a co) was told our market will completely start changing to GWP at the beginning of Q3. Was told it will take a month to get everyone into new roles. The way it sounds makes it seem like one of the most complicated moves a retail store can make.

I actually think the market offices are downsizing(such as HR) Everything is automated now, and they want issues dealt with at the store level and no higher. This gives HR much less to do.

This CO is correct. We are hearing GWP is going forth even with Covid going on. There will be a big change announced soon but it will only effect a small portion of salaried associates. But never the less it will effect their livelihood. So they are in my thoughts and prayers.

I wondered if GWP changes were still taking place amid Covid-19. My store has a good management team, but lately they seem stressed. This could be why, although no one is telling us hourly associates anything.

Yes regional and market managers have been traveling. 2 months ago they weren't suppose to but for some reason they are now.

Also Q3 is the first of August. I have no idea about if it's the entire company or just my market. I just know about my market. So I thought i would share some updates for the people who are interested.

To the guy that called me a troll. I just didnt want people thinking I'm a SM because I'm not and i know 100% my SM is holding out on telling us anything.

The person who asked about retention, so I know my SM told a new ASM that she was hired because he thought she would be a great fit for the new role, as far as everyone else we all have a few ASM that quiet honestly just aren't ready for the next role and those are the ones that are and should be demoted. As I told all my DMs and ASMs in the meeting this morning. ( as rumors are flying) just do your job and cross all the Ts and dot all the Is and youll be fine.

to the OP: what does this mean for retention of current / hiring of new assistants? Is this part of the move, to reduce those numbers?

OR – They need to stay in their palacial mansions and broadcast from home – like several of the Corporate big wigs are currently doing . . .

Are regional and divisional traveling to stores during the pandemic? They should stay in their “home stores” to stop the spread.
