Who will be running the consolidated USO operation? Please tell me it won’t be walker or burger.

So sad. I was let go last year and I thought mgmt were friends, they never reached or said anything. I was just another number. I got over it and well, Noble is going down in flames my friends. Those who remain, good luck!

If you got a furlough extension, you might as well quit. Your boss is intentionally fudging you.

"Off-boarded" is such a pussilanimous management euphemism. Makes it sound like they were getting off a cruise ship. Let's all be honest. They were laid off. Terminated.

Were most of the cuts in Pecos?

Has Noble ever had an original thought? “Chesapeake is convert it’s fleet to NG, let’s do that!” “Where should we drill next? PERMIAN!” “How many people is Exxon letting go? Sounds good!”

Our management is in a constant state of FOMO!

The number of off boarded employees I learned, which is likely a minimum, is 240. I also heard the number 10%, which would correlate closely with the number I had learned.
I know of two furloughed employees that have been extended. There may be more, but that is what I know.

In my group, all furloughed people were let go along with some of the part time people. Some part time people were brought back on as full time eff 7/27.

Not much Exploration left for this declining company. Legal is protected by keeping the AJ cooch peeping between themselves (with a raise I'm hearing). I even heard earring boy is still there, figures:)

I was one from the accounting group. Did not expect that call! Made for a bad afternoon - but... on to better things. It’s a shame that it’s not managed better. It’s a nice enough place to work, just not sustainable. The stuff they spend money on blows my mind. Some really good people were effected yesterday - it’s a shame that wiser decisions weren’t made beforehand to prevent a need of this magnitude from ever having to take place.

Make sure you ask for your copy of the severance plan. It’s your right to see this.

I was actually hoping to get laid off. The company is not what is used to be and some people I am friends with got let go. I guess I will have to suffer until I find something else, probably in another industry. Problem is I am in my mid 50’s so it won’t be easy.
I think the ones that got let go are better off than the people like me that have to stay.
Too bad they did not ask for volunteers 😞

Sounds like everyone that was furloughed is gone along with some that were still full time and some that were part time.

Noble strikes again! Not surprising... they have mastered the lay-off process. They’re experts at this having done it more often than any other company. To those laid off... you’re going to be better off long term. This industry is dying and there is NO future at Noble.

About ten people in my group were laid off with the benefits info as posted. Severance and insurance. It’s not surprising. Also no clubbers are out. It’s the Noble way.

It sounds like USO resources are being consolidated into a single entity, at least in my group.

Yes, I was one of a large number in accounting that was let go today. Package includes min. of 12 weeks severance pay, insurance through the end of the month and then cash to cover the company cost of our insurance for the next six months. Also, prorated STIP for the year, access to a placement website. Best of luck to everyone and it was a pleasure working with you.
